Hello again friends,
It has been a pretty full year already.
We are having a great time on the road with Shooter.
My next record is almost done - I am hoping for an April release on Dualtone Records.
The album will be called 'Get Back To The Land' - and I think it's my best work yet.
I have been getting a lot of emails from friends and fans who are getting tired of waiting for a new record so I put together a 2 CD set - available as a download only from CDBaby.
It is called 'California Country Soul' and each disc has 13 songs - 8 old and 5 new.
I also set it up so you don't have to buy the whole thing, just the songs you don't have already.
The links to the CD baby pages are:
www.cdbaby/com/cd/calicountrysoul
and
www.cdbaby/com/cd/calicountrysoul2

Europe was a Success! back home...
Hello again good people of cyberspace.
I am writing again to let you know that my tour in Europe was a huge success.
3 weeks. 6 shows with a full band. 10 more solo - just me, a guitar and a mandolin.
Sweden was wonderful - I played with a great band from Gothenburg called Little Green www.myspace.com/littlegreenswe. We played Gothenburg, Stockholm, a great Country festival in Sunne and some other great club dates. There is a great article about our show in Uppsala on www.countrywood.se
Finland was unbelievable. I played a great concert in Helsinki and then one of the classic rock clubs there too - the Liberte. I also met up with some of the great musicians and DJs that will help make my next rip there great.
Then onto the Netherlands where I did some great shows with a wonderful Dutch singer/songwriter Eric De Vries. I played live on the great radio show with DJ Gerrit Vermeij at www.muziekvenster.nl. And I recorded a live studio performance with on Ditch national Radio with DJ Paul Harvey which will air on Roots Radio 6 on 3/21. I even met up with some cousins I have never met before. My Dad's family moved from Holland to the USA after World War II. So it was an inspiring homecoming of sorts.
And my shows in Belgium were wonderful. I played a really cool little honky tonk in Lauwe and an incredible show just outside of Brussels at the historic Toogenblik. Youtube videos are up from that show already - and there was a great review of the show that is online as well at www.rootstime.be.
Here are some of the youtube clips of my performance taken by Roen Het Zwoen:

Europa! Europa!
Hello again, good people of the internet.
I am back overseas and I wanted to share a little of what's ben going on.
My tour started out with a LONG flight from LAX to Amsterdam, then a short one to Sweden.
I did my first show here in Gothenburg with some great promoters called Woody West. And I performed at a very cool rock club called Pustervisk, the same venue where I played with Shooter Jennings my first time in Sweden a few years back, so it was a homecoming of sorts. We also did a great in-store at an (almost) Vinyl only record store call Dirty Records. Almost 50 people came to the in-store and I almost spent as much as my plane ticket over on cool obscure bootlegs. (They are real music lovers over here and I got sucked right in).
Next onto Amal Sweden, where we played in a great club called the XO. It was a dreamy snowy Christmas Card kind of town. I had played here last year, and we had a great crowd, and got some good youtube footage, so I will let you know when that gets posted.
Then onto the town of Sunne, Sweden for a country music festival. This was my first Country Fest in Sweden. It was a wild one. They imported A LOT of Jim Beam to have authentic bourbon on hand. They served up 'American style chili' and hot dogs and beans, and it felt as much like a Wild West costume party as a music festival. I played well, and my band Little Green, did wonderfully. We did Swamp Water Whiskey and Down in Mexico - two of my songs I have never really done live. They both play up the romantic imagery of wildness in America (running moonshine, singing the blues, and getting in trouble in Juarez) so I thought a European audience would enjoy them - and they did.
And today I did an on the air interview on Swedish National Radio. Later I fly to Helsinki for my first shows in Finland which start tomorrow.
Then back to Sweden for some more shows here, and then Holland and Belgium.
Thanks again for supporting the cause.

Ted to guest on the Electric Rodeo on Sirius XM
Hello cyber friends,
I will be the special guest on the Shooter Jennings Electric Rodeo show on SiriusXM Radio this weekend.
If you have been a fan of Ted and Shooter and our music (or his insanely cool radio show) - please check it out.
We spoke and interviewed each other on the air and played a bunch of the songs from my new record, Poor Man's Paradise, in the play list. We also included a lot of the songs and artists that we have bonded on: Kris Kristofferson, Jessi Colter, Leonard Cohen, J.J. Cale and many more.
It is on Sirius XM - the Outlaw Country Channel - and the show airs on both Saturday and Sunday nights this weekend 6/27 and 6/28.
In other Ted news, Poor Man's Paradise was on the Americana Chart for 3 full months and had a great run staying in the top 20 for much of that time receiving a lot of airplay around the country. So thanks to all the great stations that have been supporting the record and spreading the word.
If you want to hear or get the record or any of Ted's other albums, you can hear them on the myspace page or go to www.tedrussellkamp.com
We are looking forward ot being back on the road with Shooter playing the Warped Tour this summer. And I have recorded some new basic tracks for what may become my next record, so I am very excited to be recording and working on the road the way I have done my last records.
Thanks again for supporting the cause,
Viva la Musica
